A Court of Love... it may not be what you think...

I would like to begin this post by apologizing for its lateness. I have been busy with things in life this past week and do not believe that it will lighten up in the immediate future. Furthermore, I will attempt to make, at the very least, a reblog of things I find useful during the week that I read. I began writing an article on love, specifically the love of God, and how it is supposed to be a large part of our lives as children of Hashem. I am unapologetically a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a Messianic Jew. Likewise, I have been a Rabbi for many years and seek only in my teachings to bring people to the never-ending, ever-reaching love of our Elohim. I listen to and follow many podcasters and bloggers who are coming from positions of being both current active members who are True Blue Members (TBM) all the way to those who are antagonistically ex-members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have friends who have been excommunicated ...

Why Music is Fundamental to Jewish Prayer

This Article is re-blogged from myjewishlearning.com , the text is unaltered and we've done our best to maintain the integrity of the post, please Read the original at the preceding link and even sign up for their newsletter.  Jewish tradition teaches that music unlocks the door to divine connection. By   Joey Weisenberg Music usic is the most immaterial and ephemeral of all the art forms. We can’t see music, we can’t grasp it in our hands, but we can feel it working through us and the world. As such, music represents our connection to the divine, to each other, to everything. Music is a wordless prayer that opens up our imaginations to the divine source of all life. In the Hebrew numerological system known as  Gematria , the numerical value of the words for prayer,  tefillah , and song,  shirah , are identical. From this we can see that music is a form of prayer, and prayer is a form of music. They are like two legs of the spiritual throne, mutually suppo...

Have you ever pondered on the parallels between the teachings of Yeshua HaMaschiah, commonly known as Jesus Christ, and the profound wisdom enshrined in the Torah? Through a careful examination of their teachings, this article will shed light on the interconnectedness and disparities in their messages, as depicted in the revered King James Version of the Bible. Unlocking the Teachings Yeshua HaMaschiah's teachings are often viewed as an extension or fulfillment of the principles laid out in the Torah. His profound messages often mirror the ethical and spiritual standards inscribed in the ancient scriptures. Let's delve into some key teachings exemplifying this connection. Love Your Neighbor Yeshua's emphasis on love transcends mere words and is deeply rooted in actions towards one's neighbors. In the book of Matthew 22:39 , he states, "And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." This teaching resonates with the Torah's emphas...

Uncovering the Hidden Truths of Freemasonry: Myths vs. Reality

Freemasonry is a fraternal organization with a rich history rooted in moral philosophy, self-improvement, and charitable works. Despite its longstanding tradition, it has often been subject to misconceptions, particularly claims of Satanism and occult practices. As a Masonic scholar familiar with the writings of notable Masonic figures such as Manly P. Hall and Albert Pike, I will address these accusations and clarify the fraternity's true nature. Origins and Principles of Freemasonry Freemasonry's origins are often traced back to the medieval stonemasons' guilds, but the modern fraternity emerged in the early 18th century with the establishment of the first Grand Lodge in London in 1717. Freemasonry is built upon principles of brotherhood, ethical conduct, and the pursuit of truth. Central to Masonic teachings are moral lessons conveyed through allegories and symbols, encouraging members to lead virtuous lives. The fraternity is not a religion but requires its members to b...
